Upcoming Events

EASTER SUNDAY - APRIL 20, 2014:

This Easter, we are partnering with the Kids Against Hunger Coalition to pack 17,000 meals to feed hungry children worldwide.  Invite your friends to help us make a difference!

On Sunday, April 20th, in place of our usual Easter Services, we will be packing meals to feed the hungry at 9am and 11am.

At 10:15 am, we will be having our Easter Brunch.

2014 Community Festival
SRCC Community Festival - Saturday, May 17

This year SRCC will be hosting the SRCC Community Festival on Saturday, May 17th.

We are collecting donations of gentley used clothing (shirts, shoes, sandles, jeans) and non-perishable food items (like canned fruits, vegatables, tuna fish, soups; and boxed items like Hamburger Helper, mac & cheese). If you or any of your friends, family or neighbors would like to help us bless those in need, bring your items to the church and put them in the bins that are set up in the foyer.

UPDATE: Thank you for your continuing donations of food and clothing. We still need a lot MORE to reach our goals!
For clothing, we are specifically looking for sizes infant through adult of boys and men’s clothes
For food, we still need many more items from our list to fill our goal of 140 bags to bless the Redford Community.

If you need ideas, lists are available in the binder on the Welcome Kiosk.

ALSO NEEDED:  In addition to items mentioned above, we are in need of large boxes to help sort and organize clothing.  Email Sarah Solberg at sarahsolberg@hotmail.com if you can help.

Watch for more information in the weekly bulletins and look for sign-up sheets in the foyer.

You can make a difference...
In June 2014, our Student Groups, Velocity and Access, will be attending Christ In Youth Events, CIY MIX and CIY MOVE.

Christ In Youth believes that the Bible is the full and final inspired Word of God and is infallible as an all sufficient rule of faith and practice; in the deity and full authority of Jesus Christ; the faith in and obedience to Christ and His teaching is essential for salvation. CIY also believe in the virgin birth of Christ, His blood atoning death on a cross, and the bodily resurrection, the final judgment, and a literal heaven and hell as taught in the Bible. We are committed to the restoration of the New Testament teaching, principles and practices.

At SRCC we believe every student should be able to attend the CIY events, regardless of their family's financial situation. For this reason, we created "coupon books" that will allow us to pay the registration fees for those students who might otherwise be unable to attend. Each coupon book represents a commitment to donate $120 ($10 per week for 12 weeks: February 16 through May 4th). If you already have a CIY Coupon Book, THANK YOU! If you haven't gotten one yet, please see Josh Strickler or simply pick one up off the table at the back of the church after Sunday Service.

Upcoming Sermon Series

Starting Sunday, March 23, 2014 - "GREATER THAN" Series

We believe God is "GREATER THAN" any obstacle you might encounter in your life; Greater Than your past, Greater Than sickness, Greater Than ANY crisis that you may experience.

Join us starting Sunday, March 23, 2014, when Mike Fabian will begin preaching the "Greater Than" Series here at South Redford Christian Church. If you can't attend in person, visit our "Listen Online" page to hear the sermons later.
